CAF/Non Asbestos Gaskets are die cut or circle cut from compressed asbestos fibre / non asbestos jointings which are manufactured from carefully selected fibre intimately blended with suitable heat resistant binders etc. and vulcanised into sheets of homogenous compositions and uniform thickness. CAF/Non Asbestos cut gasket seal is effected by yielding or flow of material into the imperfections of joint contact faces. We offer Asbestos Millboard Sheet that is fabricated from selected clean, long asbestos fibres of uniform quality assorted with suitable incombustible binding materials. These millboards are known for its features such as heat and fire resistance and strength. Our millboards are perfect at temperatures up to 500°C (932″ F) and even higher temperature when properly supported. Additionally, it can be used acceptably at extreme temperature up to approximately 1400 C. These are also known for its features such as withstanding vibratory and impact loads easily.
Available is soft, medium and hard grades, these sheets can be cut, drilled and screwed to supporting beams, and can be moulded or cemented to any shape. The medium grade is supplied only if it is specially asked by our clients. The hard grade is stiff and brittle and is used where rigidity is needed.

Sheet packing was a common asbestos – containing product used to make gaskets for commercial and industrial settings. Asbestos fibers are mixed with a binding material and compressed to form the product, which can then be cut into various shapes and sizes to form gaskets and heat seals.
These products were used on pipes and boilers and in between joints on ships. When used in between pipe joints as a gasket, sheet packing prevents the contents of the pipe from leaking out.
Asbestos was commonly used as a component of this product because it provided resistance to high temperatures, as well as excellent durability and flexibility. Its cost effective nature also made asbestos an appealing material to produce gaskets and heat seals cheaply.

We supply asbestos yarns in a wide range of constructions with a wide range of properties dependent on the various applications intended. However, they are commercially distinguished under the following groups:
A) Non-metallic
B) Metallic-incorporating metal wire
C) Union-in combination with cotton threads
The size, diameter, or “count” of a Asbestos yarn can be expressed in many ways. The modern international method used is the TEX system. The “TEX NUMBER” indicates the weight of yarn in grams per KM. of length.
Several ends of Asbestos yarns can be twisted or braided to produce the yarn or rope of a higher diameter. The asbestos yarn can be reinforced with ductile metal wire such as brass, copper, zinc, lead, inconel, monel, stainless steel, etc. Reinforcement with filaments of metal wire offers particular properties in the end product such as heat dissipation, high temperature resistance, strength retention or particular friction properties. It can also be spun in combination with cotton or yarns made with man-made fibres to give an added advantage of higher strength and flexibility in lower temperature applications.
Asbestos yarn can also be treated with high quality lubricants, oil resisting compounds, PTFE and coated with flake graphite or mica for specific applications.
Application
Asbestos yarn has a wide range of applications -in heat insulation, sealing, electrical insulations, fire protection, friction materials etc. The asbestos yarn is also used for packing valve spindles, lagging small pipes, sealing joints, in flexible metallic tubings, packing for bib- cocks at low pressure steam, sewing asbestos mattresses, in switch and fuse gear, braiding of electric cables, weaving of electrical resistance kits, cushions for glass in patent glazing bars.
In addition to this, the asbestos yarn forms a base for the manufacture of packings, tubings and cloth, which services the wide ranging needs of any industry.
